Concert ActArt : Winterreise Schubert
Saturday 30.03, 16:00
The exhibition of the 24 paintings from Joseph Probst's winter journey inspired by Franz Schubert's Winterreise is closed with a recital featuring all three arts: painting, literature and music. Sonja Neumann, narrator, Marie-Reine Nimax-Weirig, soprano and Tatsiana Molakava, piano, perform Franz Schubert's Winterreise cycle in a more unusual adaptation for singer and reciter with the projection of the 24 paintings from Joseph Probst's winter travel cycle. Franz Schubert's Winterreise, composed in 1827 on poems by Wilhelm Müller, is the pinnacle of his creation and the height of the art of romantic song. A great spectrum of moods such as love, sorrow, loneliness, despair brings together all the ambivalences of a lost man. This range of contrasting emotions creates a prodigious unity between poetry and music.
