Artists have always been interested in the reproduction of the human body. Antiquity produced idealized bodies, with a heroic appearance, far removed from the real human anatomy. In the Middle Ages, men were the main role models for artists, even when it came to representing women. At the beginning of the 19th century, the artist's view of the human body changed completely. The emphasis was on the realistic reproduction of the human body. During this workshop, students will become familiar with their bodies. Are they taller or shorter than their classmates? They can then process their impressions as part of creative work. Whether they reproduce in an idealized, distorted or rather realistic form is left to the children's imagination.
