Since ancient times, the body has been the subject of representation of man and his experience. It is through him that the history of humanity and the arts is told.
Whether in sculpture, painting, photography, the body fascinates and becomes a support for study and reflection.
During this conference, we will analyze Elina Brotherus' work, which confronts us with the nude, the self-portrait and the link that the body has with the landscape and its environment.
Whether in the series The New Painting, Model Studies, Etudes d'après modèle, Artists at Work or Rule du jeu, the Finnish artist transports us into a deeply human and unique photographic universe, which is part of the history of art and photography.
