Over the course of the musical morning, we'll be offering a musical interlude accompanied by a little insight into how the theme of sex and gender roles and identities is reflected in art.

Flautists Ana Carpisassi and Lance Weisen both took their first musical steps in Luxembourg, notably at the UGDA and the Conservatoire de Musique d'Esch-sur-Alzette, from a very early age. Under the guidance of their teachers, Isabelle Kayser, Anastasia Eletskaia and Päivi Kauffmann, they decided to go down the path of professional music-making: they are currently preparing their bachelor's degree in 'Musical Performance' at the Conservatorium Maastricht (NL) under the guidance of Valerie Debaele. The two flautists have appeared on stage several times in collaboration with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Grand Ducal Military Band, and are delighted to be performing as a duo for the first time at the Villa Vauban.
