During the musical matinees, we offer a musical interlude accompanied by a brief overview of how the theme of colour is reflected in art.

Ilan Schneider (Viola)
Born in Lithuania, Ilan Schneider began his musical training in his native Vilnius. At the age of 15, he continued his musical training at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. He won first prize in the violin competition there in 1989. He then continued his studies in Vienna, where in 1997 he studied with the renowned viola virtuoso Michael Kugel and won the first Vienna Internationaler Bratschenwettbewerb. As a soloist, he performs with renowned orchestras, and regularly tours internationally as a chamber music player. Ilan Schneider is principal violist of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and a member of the Louvigny Quartet. Since 2019, Ilan Schneider has also been teaching at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg.
