Recent acquisitions and donations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Collecting, safeguarding and preserving works of art are the core tasks of a museum. But collecting also means choosing. Selection is part and parcel of a collection. Various criteria always play a role in the rational development of the collection, such as the authorship of artists already represented in the collection, thematic or stylistic parallels to existing works, or a geographical relationship to Luxembourg.
