During this guided tour, you discover works of art specially created for public space. You will not see any monuments erected to commemorate a person or an event. Most of the existing monuments were built in Luxembourg between the middle of the 19th century and the early 2000s. It is only since the 1990s that art has been actively created for public space, i.e. works of art that are placed in the urban space solely because of their aesthetic qualities and that do not cultivate a culture of remembrance.
